MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – A mortar barrage hit the airport of south Somalia’s Baidoa airport on Saturday night followed by an exchange of gunfire between Al-Shabaab militants and Ethiopian troops stationed in the facility, Shabelle TV reported.
Casualties by the mortar attack and the subsequent gunfight have not been immediately known.
Southwest officials told media that they had repulsed the assault and killed 3 Al-Shabaab insurgents.
