MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somali opposition leader Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame on Monday threatened a swift and powerful uprising, reminiscent of the 2006 revolution that expelled warlords from Mogadishu, pledging to rally the public against President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud unless he halts plundering of public resources and rectifies ongoing injustices.
In a scathing rebuke, Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame accused President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of corruption, nepotism, and authoritarianism, suggesting that the severance of ties by Jubaland and Puntland could reduce Mohamud’s administration to a one-clan enclave.
